Amazigh Language in Education Policy and Planning in Morocco: Effects of the Gap between Macro and Micro Levels of Planning

It has been almost two decades now since the Amazigh language integrated in Moroccan education system. Morocco decided, after King Mohammed sixth famous speech Ajdir 2001, to make officially taught schools. started as a school subject 317 primary schools 2003, with hope of covering all 2010. However, reality nowadays is completely opposite. Even another decade covers only 5% This state fact shows that there wide gap between official discourse at macro level about educational policy and implementation this micro level. The objective paper investigate manifestations effects levels planning concerning central questions trying answer are following: i) how manifested policy? ii) How does affect status schools? To achieve focal paper, first we will analyze vision policymakers enact full integration Second, tackle part level, questionnaire addressed teachers focus twofold: a) have clear image situation b) Derive challenges hamper policies
